Plymouth’s award-winning pirate weekend

The award-winning Plymouth Pirate Weekend will be held on 13th – 14th May at The Barbican and Sutton Harbour. It promises to be a fun-filled, swashbuckling weekend for all the family.

The Pirate Weekend has been running for more than five years, and offers a fun-packed itinerary. Plymouth’s historic waterfront will be swarming with pirates and visitors will have the chance to see re-enactments displays, sword fighting demonstrations, canon firing, a pirate treasure trail, Punch and Judy performances, pirate-themed arts and crafts, a fancy dress competition, shanty singing, the opportunity to climb aboard a tall ship – the ‘Johanna Lucretia’, taste Pirate-themed ales and much, much more.

Bovisand Lodge Holiday Park is just a short drive from the Barbican, Sutton Harbour and West Hoe, or if you wanted to keep to the pirate theme, you can climb aboard the water taxi and arrive from the sea.
